Ukrainian territory, independent Ukrainian territory, is," Zelenskyy said, commenting on Vance's remarks. He stressed that among Russia's goals is the occupation of territory and this goal has always existed in one form or another. Commenting on the negotiation process regarding the settlement of the Russo-Ukrainian war, Vance questioned the reasonableness of a dispute over "haggling over a few square kilometres", apparently hinting that Kyiv should make territorial concessions.
