Russian forces attacked a thermal power plant belonging to DTEK, the largest private energy company in Ukraine, on 5 June.

Details: The company added that DTEK's thermal power plants have been attacked nearly 230 times since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Eleven of those attacks occurred during the 2025/2026 heating season.
Background: DTEK said on 2 June that it had restored power to 110,000 households in Kyiv after Russia's large-scale attack damaged the company's energy facilities and a production site.
