Zelenskyy said some of those returning home are wounded, and most had been held in captivity since 2022. Quote: "I thank every unit that replenishes our exchange pool and thereby brings the return of our people closer. Bringing everyone back from Russian captivity is a matter of principle for us. I thank everyone in the world who is helping us with this." Update: Ukraine's Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War later said that the youngest person released is 22 and the oldest 63. The agency noted that 25 officers whom the Russian side had previously refused to exchange have been freed. All seven civilians had been taken captive by Russian occupying forces back in 2022, the Coordination Headquarters added. Support Ukrainska Pravda on Patreon!
