Details: According to the source, the system was installed on 5 June. The outlet has also obtained video footage of the installation operation.

The air defence system was delivered by helicopter to the roof of the business-class residential complex Dom v Sokolnikakh, located a three-minute walk from the Sokolniki metro station, according to Agentstvo's geolocation analysis.

OSINT analyst Kirill Mikhailov said the system installed on the building is likely a Pantsir-SMD-E variant designed specifically to counter unmanned aerial vehicles.

At the end of May, an identical air defence system was installed on the roof of the 42-storey Nordstar Tower business centre near the Begovaya metro station, a property linked to Rosneft.

The Pantsir-SMD-E uses small and medium-range missiles, including the TKB-1055 Gvozd and the 95Ya6 missile, with ranges of 7 km and up to 20 km respectively. By comparison, the standard Pantsir-S1 is equipped with automatic cannons. Operational experience has shown that missiles are more effective against drones than cannons, Mikhailov said.
