Details: Sirchenko posted a message on the morning of 11 April thanking his subordinates for their cooperation during nearly 500 days in the role.
According to Ukrainska Pravda, citing military sources in the area of responsibility of the 11th Army Corps, one of the reasons for his dismissal was the loss of Siversk.
Quote from Sirchenko: "Almost 500 days in the post. Not in the rear. Not on paper. On the line of contact. Together.
Together with you. On one of the most intense sections of the front in this war. I was not a perfect commander. There are no perfect commanders in war.
At times, I pushed too hard. I made mistakes. I stayed silent when I should have spoken.
But one thing I know for sure: I never stood behind you."
For reference: According to Ukrainska Pravda, Russian forces captured Siversk by taking advantage of dense fog in Donetsk Oblast in November and December 2025.
