A 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man have been arrested over an arson attack at Kenton United Synagogue, in Harrow, north-west London on Sunday, the Metropolitan Police has said.

A man was seen lighting a bag, which was later found to have contained three bottles with fluid in them, in the doorway, according to the force.

Minor damage was caused to the shopfront although no injuries were reported.

The Met's deputy commissioner Matt Jukes told the BBC on Monday there had been some 15 arrests in relation to a series of six incidents where premises with Jewish connections had been targeted in London in recent weeks.
